Basement Lyrics:

I NEED TO GET OUT SOME FRUSTRATION
I NEED TO GET OUT SOME FRUSTRATION
BEFORE YOU WIND UP IN MY BASEMENT
I BETTER GET OUT SOME FRUSTRATION

YOU THINK YOU MADE THE CONSTELLATIONS
YOU THINK YOU ARE THE CONVERSATION
I'D LIKE YOU BETTER IN MY BASEMENT
I BETTER GET OUT SOME FRUSTRATION

Short and sweet I think. Although this is a dED and BURYd song I actually wrote it sometime before the band was formed. I wrote it on guitar using a pitch-shifter to make it sound like a bass. I definitely wanted the song to have a hard rock sound and that is part of the reason it took a while to actually play and record.

This song was originally recorded in my apartment Nancy Bury played bass and I played drums as well as guitar and vocals. My son Cody, who was about 10 at the time, says “the dead will rise again” at the beginning of the song.
