Today I want to talk to everyone about Laguna Guitars. These are some really nice, and very playable guitars created by Keith Brawley who sold his designs to Guitar Center to be used to make Laguna Guitars. These days many of the models are discontinued but you can still find some at Guitar Center and if you have one near you it will be worth the trip to give one a try. You can also still find Laguna Guitars other places as well, but they are soon to become a collectors item.
Laguna Guitars create electric guitars, electric bass guitars, and acoustic guitars.
Guitar Models:
- LE50 – features a carved Basswood body, Rock Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, 2 Humbucker Pickups, the bridge is a String-thru with individually adjustable saddles.
- LE200 – features a carved Basswood body, Rock Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, 2 Humbucker Pickups, String-thru with tune-o-matic style bridge. The LE200Q series features a really nice looking AAA-quilted maple top.
- LE300 – features a really smooth swamp ash body, Rock Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, and Wilkinson premium 2-point tremolo.
- LE400Q – is a really nice looking guitar featuring Basswood body with a AAA-quilted maple top, Rock Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, and premium Floyd-Rose tremolo.
- LE924 – features a Swamp Ash body with a AAA-quilted maple top, rock maple neck and fretboard, Dimarzio pickups, and a Floyd-Rose licensed tremolo.

Legacy Bass Guitars:
- LB224 – features a Basswood body, Maple Neck, Sonokelin Fretboard, and a Fully Adjustable Bridge.
- LAB5 – is an acoustic bass that features a single cutaway design, Bubinga Top, Back & Sides, Mahogany neck, and a Rosewood Fretboard, and a Fishman Classic 4T preamp with built in tuner.
- LAB7 – is an acoustic bass that features a single cutaway design, Rosewood Back & Sides, Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Mahogany neck, and a Rosewood Fretboard.
- Ocean Bass – features a Maple neck, Maple body, Rosewood Fretboard, active electronics, Batolini pickups, and a Fully Adjustable Bridge.
As I said these are really nice guitars that sometimes can be found at the big name stores if you are lucky. The electric guitars look very nice and the acoustic guitars are made out of some types of woods you don’t see every day, allowing for some new tonal possibilities.
