Video Summary:

Empire of the Dead is a video about a stalker, stalking a female victim through dark city streets, shown through the eyes of the stalker. This is a fictional tale not meant to portray any real-life events or persons.

Empire of the Dead is a music video for a song of the same name by the band that I am a part of called dED and BURYd.

This is a live-action video, the music was recorded by dED and BURYd before video production began.

The majority of the video was filmed by Nancy Bury and I using my Android HTC Incredible phone. We preferred the lower quality of my phone for this project because we felt that the low quality added to the suspense and added a certain horror effect. A better quality Sony handheld camera is used in the opening scene of the killer (played by Matt Nielsen). The film was shot over two days, one day with Matt that also included some unused cemetery film and a second day for the dark “chasing” scenes that were filmed in the small town of Throop Pa where I spent many years of my life. The wooden stairway to the second floor is a scene of my apartment at the time. The victim was played by Nancy Bury. Once filming was complete Nancy then used Windows Movie Maker to put all of the movie clips together into the final video edit. I do not appear in this video.
