Today I would like to talk about Blueridge Guitars, high quality acoustic guitars that are well known for their fine workmanship and their attention to detail. Blueridge Guitars are owned by Saga Musical Instruments, a company that owns many guitar brands and the Blueridge line of guitars is made in China. Saga Musical Instruments are well known for making high quality guitars at affordable prices, and Blueridge Guitars does not disappoint.  Blueridge Guitars are very playable guitars that sound great at a lower price than many comparable brands. Blueridge BR-160 Historic Dreadnaught Guitar

Blueridge Guitars come in several models:

CONTEMPORARY SERIES:

  • BR-40 – features a dreadnought body style, Sitka spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
  • BR-43 – features a modified dreadnought body style called “000”, Sitka spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
  • BR-72 – features a modified dreadnought body style called “000”, Sitka spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

The above three models in the Contemporary Series all come with a Fishman Pre-Amp System for plugging the acoustic guitar into a sound system. The Fishman Pre-Amp System comes with a phase switch, treble and bass controls, and a built in tuner. These guitars are perfect for the modern performing musician and the practicing musician alike.

 

HISTORIC SERIES:

  • BR-140 – features a dreadnought body style, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
  • BR-143 – features a modified dreadnought body style called “000”, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
  • BR-160 – features a dreadnought body style, Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, and Rosewood bridge.
  • BR-163 – features a modified dreadnought body style called “000”, Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, and Rosewood bridge.

The above four models in the Historic Series are designed to take the player back in time to the early 1900’s. Very nice inlay work and ornate headstock detail make these guitars really stand out. Of course, they play as good if not better than any other acoustic on the market today. With very detailed inlay and ornate head-stock these guitarsare sure to stand out from the crowd. The Historic Series by  Blueridge guitars is perfect for the history buff and the collector. Of course, these guitars play and sound as well as any other guitar on the market today.

 

Along with the above Series, Blueridge Guitars also make the:

  • SPECIAL-BG (modeled after the Gibson J160) – featuring a slope shoulder dreadnought body style made popular in the 40’s and 50’s, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany or Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The Special-BG also comes with the Fishman Pre-Amp System.
  • BRISTOL (Entry Level Model) – featuring Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and Fishman Pre-Amp System.
